I build connections.

Behind my camera or in front of my family, I want to connect. Between raising five kids and holding hundreds of senior and family sessions, I know what to look for and how to respond. Your shoot is a big day, which creates pressure. Plus there’s excitement, nerves, weather, and whatever happened last night. So I go into every session ready to meet your senior or your family exactly where they are.

I seek authenticity.

When you look at your photos, I want you to really see the people you love. Their quirky smile. The glimmer in their eye. Their familiar head tilt. My job is to uncover their personality, capture their essence, and bring out the beauty of the moment.

I share my expertise.

From my personal passion to my professional training, I’ve learned a lot and I love to share it. We’ll talk about where and when the light hits in the spot you want to shoot, depending on the time of day and time of year. We’ll think about what’s in bloom and how that affects the color of your photos. We’ll discuss poses and expressions, outfits and framing. We’ll cover it all. 

More than anything, I want to create an experience and an album you will treasure for years to come. And I believe a comfortable connection between a photographer and her subject can make all the difference in capturing their very best, most authentic self.
